Samuel sarmiento

(b. 1987. Maracaibo, Venezuela)

Samuel Sarmiento is a visual artist that makes use of watercolors, acrylic paint, oil paint, and the technic of collage to create worlds full of movement and color. The stories he puts on canvas can seem like puzzles free of the laws of space and time. His paintings and drawings are based on folktales, allegories, myths, and legends from the Caribbean, Latin America, and Africa to name a few.

Samuel has a Master's degree in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. He has exhibited in exhibitions in Venezuela, Aruba, Germany, Spain, Panama, Argentina, and China.

Samuel lives and works in Aruba.
